PlugShare 앱 리뷰

Can no longer sign in!

Endless pw reset loop. Frustrating and waste of time. Was hoping to report issue with a stn, but oh well…

Fantastic App!

This app is freaking fantastic! Every EV driver should download it. I like the feature where you can add the details of a trip, and the app helps you pick a charging station along the way. Very chic! I like it :)

Subscription fee per installed app instance? Unreasonable.

While PS is a useful and basically well-designed app, I was amazed to discover that my paid subscription made via the app on my iPhone was not honored on my Pixel phone. Really? PS expects us to pay for a new subscription per installed app instance? Even, for example, a paid VPN subscription will allow a set number of devices to use it under a single subscription. Pending PS correcting this, I regret subscribing and will not renew. The developer’s response to my review indicated zero reading comprehension. Sad… and perhaps telling.

Osage Beach Mo

There is a Tesla Supercharger here and it does not show up on your app that I can see. No superchargers listed?

Asking a question

I have some pretty generic questions like how much ? How long ? Adapter needed ? Extremely confusing map. ! Maybe it’s me ?

beautifully designed

I have a 2021 Ford Mustang Mach E. We have been mainly using the car for in town travel, but lately we have been planning trips. This app is beautifully designed. I began with the website and on my laptop. You start by putting in your final destination, and then it shows you little icons along the way. If you are looking for only fast chargers, focus on only the orange icons that are along the way. And then when you click on the icon, you can either add it to your trip or very importantly can bookmark it as a favorite. There is both a website, which is where I was doing my trip planning, and of course the app. Compliments and thanks to the designers!

Good for finding reliable stations, but no good for price comparison

This would be so much better if it had open and clear pricing information on the stations, but unfortunately it's owned by one of the major charging networks and has a little incentive to promote competition

Best app

This is the best EV app. It shows all stations. Other apps only show stations that they are associated with.

BMW i3

Great app love the app

Great app!

Great app to get up-to-date information accesos all charging platforms. Usually integrated into newer EV Models right from your car’s dashboard which is great.

App hard to navigate.

I wish all EV charger apps were the same. Ev Go has something that says.” closest.”, but then shows me a list of places with a key next to them, and nothing happens when I click on the places. PlugShare doesn’t have an option for “closest.” I usually charge at home, so using these apps has been a huge learning curve.

Chevy Bolt EUV driver

Great app. Has served me well on several trips.

Suggestion

Can we have a Graph of how busy a Station is during a day. Like I can find in the google maps information on a Shop - busy scale- It could help for route planing. For example, to set my Time of arrival at a Station to a time where the Station might be less busy. Thanks. Otherwise great App.

Setup terrible

Installing as a back up charging resource. Set up of the app was pretty convoluted. Still not working yet.

Best app

This has been by far the best app to help me with owning an ev. Highly recommend

.

Constantly sending me notifications that new chargers are available in my area when they’re not.

best EV charger locator

best app ever. A+++++ It’s the only app that has all the chargers, big small or otherwise.

Essential

Great accuracy, good filtering

Charged a school bus

My First Go To Planning Resource

Anytime we are planning a road trip with our EVs, PlugShare is the first resource I use to look for destination charging, local charging and DC fast/superchargers. I try to leave reviews at every hotel we stay that has charging as other’s reviews have been invaluable to me.

Get rid of “1st leg” results in Trips section

(Dec 21, 2023) I’m updating my rating from 2 to 1, because after 3 years after platitude excuses, still refuses to update their route planner section in the app in the simplest of ways: to include ALL of the filtered charging stations on a route (especially cross country) and not just the “1st leg”. If you are planning a cross country trip and you put in a destination that’s 500 miles away in the app, why on earth would you only care to see the first 50-100 miles of charging stations on your route - “1st leg”; the PlugShare app only shows you this, unless you click on “show all” in which shows you all of the charging stations in the country. Why? The route planner is a huge portion of this app’s capabilities, and this limitation just makes it tedious. The “find a charging station” sections works as it should, but I won’t recommend this app until the developers get on the ball and displays an entire planned route’s charging stations. **************************** I’m updating my rating from 3 stars to 2 stars. After several year, for the life of me, I can t understand why you don’t update your trip function to include ALL Filtered chargers on a planned route, not just the first handful. Especially for those looking to do a long trip, you can’t plan it around just the first handful of chargers on your route. And clicking on “show all” crowds the map with too many chargers. Get on this, please! The Charge Way app does this just fine, showing all relevant chargers on a planned route. And you (PlugShare) at least used to do this on the web browser. What can’t you unlock this simple functionality for the app? *********************** Please get rid of the “1st leg” limiting results in the Trips section and show all of the filtered results. It’s infuriating to not get all of the EVSE results for a planned trip and only get a portion (unless you do a “show all” which shows everything in the country and not just your route). Is this limitation on purpose? Because this limitation is not in your web GUI version. The EVSE search function is great, but that’s just roughly 50% of the apps functionality. The Trip Planner section is annoyingly “stunted”, and prevents it from being worthy of a 5 star one-stop-shop app.

Biggity52

1 month user very helpful

Decided to send notification spam

Just like other apps it is started to show notifications for meaningless stuff just to get me to open the app. Will uninstall if this continues.

Allow Feedback for All!

I keep running into issues with the charging stations being down, damaged or unusable. Then I try to leave feedback to warn others and the app doesn’t allow me to do so, or makes it very difficult! Allow feedback to be left easily ! So we don’t waste our time driving all over town. Thanks

Terrible

Tried to plan a trip from Austin Texas to Denver and it highlighted only a few charge options. Would not give me route with all charging options

The original

This has been the go to charging finder for all us early adopters. One thing could make it so much better. A way to sort results by price! Just like fuel prices charging prices can vary widely at stations around where ever you are. Being able to shop by price would make this app even better.

Great! Very responsive development team. THE standard for this.

Updated: 9 years using PS and it has become the go-to for finding chargers and sharing charger status with other EV owners. I have had 3 EVs and the Trip Planner feature is incredibly helpful for short range EVs on long distance trips. They even listen to user feedback and add requested features! Love the ad-free version for a very nominal fee. Wished it was available for the website. The point here is the dev team listens to their users and that is always a win for all. Happy EVing!

Not up to Date

Not sure this app is being updated. I’ve noticed there are many chargers that aren’t showing up in northern NY. I can seem them on google maps…

Obsolete out of date info, scores meaningless

Many of the high scoring locations havent been updated in years, and when you get there, they gone, valdalized, out of service, or heavily utilized. All data is suspect. They need to drop the sites that haven’t been updated in a year or more or at least zero out their score.

Cannot log in or reset password

This is basic stuff. Disappointed.

Keeps giving me errors

Doesn’t let me update anything just keep getting errors

Features don’t work or are missing

Don’t bother with the app. Use the web interface. Many features are unavailable or don’t work properly in app. Save yourself the frustration and simply use there web app. No way to remove a trip. No way to remove a stop. No way to reverse a trip. No way to rename a trip. Get the picture?

Directions

Directions are wrong leading to a dead end street

Free charging is over as Feb 3 2025

Pay as go from now on.

Decent lacks key feature

It is helpful, but it would be better if there was a way to mark charges as private. There are 15 chargers near my house, but all of them require you to be doing business with that business to use them. Some are jerks about it too. If I could mark it as private, restricted, or maybe business required. Something that would let other drivers know this info without having to read through all the feedback.

Best “GoTo First” place to find EV Charging.

Plug Share lists any Charging spot that a user or other person has suggested for listing. Plug Share covers many different Charging Companies. That makes Plug Share easier to use and presents a quicker method of finding Chargers. Once at a location, a user will often find other Brands of Chargers.

Does not have all the information you need

I’ve been using PlugShare for quite some time now and more recently it seems like there’s a lot of chargers that are not showing up on their app. I found that a lot of the apps features are not as useful as they used to be. And I find myself not using PlugShare as often as I used to, because I don’t trust the information.

Very few show prices!

Most of the spots don’t show pricing. Some are listed as free but in alternate fields within the app prices are listed. Overall finding out costs to charge is a pain. Assumption is that all of them charge something, probably at least $0.35/kWh, and many an hourly flat rate. It would help if the app could accurately and conveniently show prices.

No, I don’t want to review an outlet in front of a liquor store.

Stop nagging me to review random outlets. If it’s an actual charger, I will. But if I find a 15-amp plug on a streetlight, maybe my ignorance is intentional. Yes, I wish the streetlight had a bathroom, but you don’t need to ask me seven times. UPDATE: still annoying me. I have to provide my car’s make, model, preferred charging method, home charging voltage and current, etc. every single time. Now I just submit false information to ruin their datasets. Hopefully they simplify their surveys or give us an opt-out toggle.

An indispensable tool for EV owners

Getting up to date information about now just what chargers are in a locale, but also their reliability, cost, and availability makes this my top tool when traveling.

Helpful EV charging info

I love this app. I use it whenever we are traveling away from home. It is great that you can actually specialize it for your type of car and the charging you want. I also love that people share their experiences.

No results

Downloaded the app and I never get any results every time I search for charging stations

This is the one!

Both website and app function well. Widely used and there’s even a messaging function! If only everyone took the time to use this…

Log in required for basic info

Insisting on me providing you a random temporary email in order for the app to do the bare minimum is asinine.

Great App

A very informative app with a variety of charging stations from different companies.

Essential… but could be improved.

I hate to say anything negative about such an essential app for EV trippers… since I’m not aware of any similar resource that comes as close to doing the job adequately. But after a long career in software design, consulting and university teaching, I truly wish the numerous flaws in this app could be addressed. I guess all the top development talent is becoming rich working for Elon or similar. And I’m retired and too old.

Chargers down, no real-time notice

Can’t tell which are out of order, which are open

Saved my Roadtrip

Discovered PlugShare when in a pickle in Carlsbad, NM and was greatly relieved to find some ‘hidden’ plugs to charge and continue my travel as planned. A big thank you to all providing plugs and charges to accelerate the clean energy transition.

Can’t pick route easily on iPhone

We avoid interstates so want to pick a specific route. I cannot do this easilyintermediate
